All women are welcome to enjoy casual discussions about the month’s literary selection. We meet at church the 2nd Thursday of each month at 1:00 pm.  Our October 11 selection is Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen.  Other books we will be reading include No! I Don’t Want to Join Your Book Club: Diary of a Sixtieth Year by Virginia Ironside for November 8, Fortune’s Children – The Fall of the House of Vanderbilt by Arthur T. Vanderbilt for Jan. 10, A Thousand Splendid Suns by Hassoeini Khaled for Feb. 14, Three Cups of Tea – One Man’s Mission to Fight Terrorism and Build Nations – One School at a Time by Greg Mortenson for Mar. 13, When Charlotte Comes Home by Maureen Millea Smith for April 10, and What on Earth Have I Done? – Stories, Observations, and Affirmations by Robert Fulhum for May 8.  In December, no book is assigned, but members are asked to bring a short Christmas message, thought, or poem.
